I have access to a few different Insurance carriers that have health Insurance Indemnity plans or Major medical health Insurance plans for the self employed. Allow me to determine which plan would be optimal for your health, budget and personal situation.
Usually group health insurance through an employer is your best option but not always. Let's talk and I may have a better option for you.
I am certified to represent you as your agent of record for marketplace health plans. I can email you your summary of benefits for your current plan. I will review it with you and determine if there is a better marketplace plan for you or if there is better options for you with an off market health insurance plan.
We could look at a gold plan on the Market Place, how ever I have a few options that I can add to your marketplace plan to improve your coverage and save money.
Depending on your income I could enroll you in a Marketplace health Insurance plan with a low monthly premium or no monthly cost at all. If your income is too high to qualify for a subsidy on a marketplace plan I have other economical options for you.
Protect your credit, protect your assets and protect your income. By law if you are admitted into the hospital they have to treat you regardless of if you have health Insurance. I would assume how ever with no health Insurance you may not get the same type of care of somebody who has health Insurance.
I have helped several people in this same situation. It is always a good choice to apply for Medicare part A at this time and part A will usually will cost you nothing assuming you qualify because you have been working. If your group coverage is good enough you will want to stay on the group coverage for as long as you work. If you decide to end your group coverage you can not go back to it.
We need to review your group coverage and then let me show you your Medicare coverage if you were to start paying for Medicare part B then add a Medicare Advantage plan or a Medicare supplement plan. I can make this decision clear for you with a good comparison.
If you qualify based on your income I can enroll you in the Medicare Savings Program and you could have your part B monthly premium paid for. I also have access to Medicare Advantage plan that would pay your part B premium and it is not based on your income. If you qualify for the Medicare Savings program you will also qualify for the Extra Help Prescription Drug program. I can also enroll you in this program.
Access the link on my web sight here and watch the 25 minute video about Medicare. I am discovering that most people would be better off with a Medicare Advantage Plan. Many agents not certified to offer Medicare Advantage plans make a very good presentation about why a supplement plan is better than an advantage plan. Once you watch the video and call me to answer any questions that you have you will be able to make a fully informed decision for your own personal situation.
A Medicare Advantage Plan HMO is a closed network of providers you must stay with in to be covered. When HMO Health Insurance plans first became available in 1973 the cost to access health care was reduced because all the providers in the network agreed to work at a lower pay scale and in return would have more patients for participating in the network. The problem then was the HMO networks were too small and and people could not access all the providers that they wanted to go to. Today the HMO networks with Medicare advantage plans are much larger and you can access all the health care options you need.
How ever if you live in a re-mote or urban area an HMO may not be your best choice.
A Medicare Advantage Plan PPO you can stay in network with the Medicare Advantage plans HMO network at a Savings or you can go out of network to any provider who accepts Medicare and will accept your PPO. I have a Medicare Advantage Plan available now That in most situations you can go in or out of network and not pay more out of network!
After being disabled for 24 months and if you worked long enough to qualify for Medicare you can enroll in Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans for people with Medicare and Medicaid known as duel eligible plans or D-SNP plans have incredible benefits. Most include things like free monthly groceries, drug store items and more.
The answer to this question is not well known. Yes you can enroll in a D-SNP plan and get much more benefits then you have now. The way to do this though is to keep your My Care Ohio Plan and when you enroll in the the D-SNP plan you need to call Medicaid and opt out of the Medicare portion of your My Care Ohio Plan. This is very important to do it this way or you could lose all your coverage. Consult with me and I will make sure everything is done correctly.
